Return addresses — the corner on the back of the envelope
No code needed
Every envelope carries a return address, and it is where a card comes back to if it cannot be delivered. An organization can keep as many as it posts from, one of them marked as the default, and every campaign, rule and single send can pick a different one. Set them up under Settings.

#Keeping more than one
A company with a head office and three regional offices posts from four places, and a card from the Chicago office should come back to Chicago. Go to Settings → Return addresses and add as many as you need. Each gets a label only you see — Head office, Chicago, Luke's desk — which is what the dropdown says when you pick one.
Settings → Add an address
Give it a label you will recognise, then the address itself. The label is never written on the envelope; the Company or person field is the first line of what gets written.
Decide whether it is the default
The default is what every send starts from. The first address you save is automatically the default, and exactly one address is the default at any time — making another one the default moves it.
You’ll know it worked when The list shows your addresses, with one marked Default.
#Picking one for a send
- Send a card — the last step, above the cost. The envelope beside you redraws with the corner you picked.
- Campaigns — the message step, where the envelope is on screen.
- Automations — in the rule itself. Worth setting, because a rule fires for a year.
- Anything that does not pick one uses the default. If you later change which address is the default, everything that never picked one follows it — so fixing a typo once fixes it everywhere.
#Common questions
- Who can change them?
- Owners and admins. It is the address on the back of every envelope the company sends, so it is not a personal setting. A plain member picking an address for a send is fine — creating and editing them is not.
- Can I use a one-off address for a single send?
- Add it in Settings, use it, and remove it afterwards — removing does not affect the card that already went out. There is no separate throwaway field, deliberately: an address typed once and never checked is exactly how mail gets destroyed.
- Is the country configurable?
- Not yet — every return address is US. A return corner never carries a country line on domestic mail anyway, because "UNITED STATES" on a US envelope is how a piece ends up in the international stream.
