How do I send handwritten cards from Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini?
Add https://scribblecards.com/api/mcp as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini Enterprise or any MCP-compatible assistant, then sign in to Scribble and choose what it may do. From then on you can ask your assistant to send a real handwritten card, and it will — using your credits, your handwriting and your address book.

#The server URL
https://scribblecards.com/api/mcpThat one URL is the whole configuration. There is no key to generate, nothing to install, and nothing to run on your own machine — you sign in to Scribble in a browser window the first time, tick what the assistant may do, and that is it.
#What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for letting an AI assistant use an outside service. Anthropic published it, and OpenAI, Google and Microsoft have all adopted it, which means one connection works across the assistants your team already uses rather than needing a separate plugin for each.
For you it means the assistant can do things in Scribble, not just talk about them: read your address book, check your credits, and put a card in the post.

A Scribble window opens. Sign in the way you normally do. If you are already signed in it skips straight to the next step.
Choose what the assistant may do
You will see four permissions, each with a tick box. Untick anything you do not want. If you leave Send handwritten cards off, the assistant can help you draft and look things up but cannot post anything.
If you belong to more than one organization, pick which one the cards come out of. The connection is fixed to that choice.
You’ll know it worked when Your assistant reports the connector as connected, and the Scribble tools appear in its tool list.

Ask: "Using Scribble, how many card credits do I have?" A working connection answers with a number.

#What it will not do without asking
Sending a card is marked as an irreversible action, so every assistant that respects the standard stops and asks you to confirm before it posts anything. Reading — contacts, credits, card status — happens without a prompt, because none of it changes anything or costs anything.

Anything that speaks Streamable HTTP MCP works. The server implements protocol revisions 2025-03-26 through 2026-07-28, so an older client and a brand-new one both connect to the same URL.
#What it costs
Nothing to connect. Cards cost the same through an assistant as they do anywhere else — one credit each, at your volume rate. Reading contacts, checking credits and looking up a card are all free.
#Common questions
- Does the AI write my card for me?
- It drafts the words if you ask it to, the same way it would draft an email — and shows them to you first. What gets written on the card is whatever text you approve. The handwriting itself is not AI: a machine holds a real pen and writes it.
- Can the assistant send a card without me seeing it?
- Sending is flagged to the assistant as irreversible, which means every compliant client asks you to confirm the specific call before it runs. If you would rather remove the possibility entirely, untick Send handwritten cards when you connect — the assistant keeps everything else.
- Does Scribble see my conversation?
- No. We receive only the arguments of the tool the assistant calls — a name and address, the message to write, a card code. The rest of the conversation never reaches us. See what an assistant can see.
- Can two people connect the same organization?
- Yes. Each person's connection is separate, listed under their name in Integrations, and revocable on its own.
- How do I disconnect it?
- In Scribble, go to Integrations → AI assistants and choose Disconnect. It stops working immediately, including any conversation that is still open.
