How do I stop Scribble mailing someone?
Open Do-not-mail and add the person’s email or full mailing address. Sending tools check matching opt-outs in the selected space; date rules currently match by email. Deleting a contact alone does not record an opt-out.

Choose the space
Opt-outs belong to the selected space. Record the request in each space that could send to this person.
Open Do-not-mail
Open the do-not-mail list from your address book.
Choose what to match
Use email to match a person across addresses. Use an address to match mail to that household. Email matching requires the sending route to have that email.
Add the reason and save
Record why the person asked to stop mail, then save the entry.
You’ll know it worked when The entry appears in the list.

#Keep the opt-out when importing again
A new import can recreate a deleted contact. The separate do-not-mail entry remains, so future matching sends are still blocked. Keep your CRM’s preferences up to date too, and include the recipient’s email in API or hook requests when you rely on email matching.

- Can I undo a mistaken opt-out?
- Remove the entry from Do-not-mail only after confirming it was added in error or the person has asked to receive mail again.
- Does this stop mail sent from another space?
- No. Each space has its own do-not-mail list.
