How do I use my own artwork on a Scribble card?
Go to Designs → New design → Upload your own artwork and upload a print-ready PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, PDF or TIFF up to 15 MB. The front of the card is 1276 × 1654 pixels — 108 × 140 mm at 300 dpi. Send that size and Scribble prints your file exactly as it is. Anything else is fitted to the card, and you are shown the result before you save.

Get the file from your designer at final size
108 × 140 mm for the front panel, at 300 dpi. Ask for the print-ready file, not the presentation PDF.
Upload it
Designs → New design → Upload your own artwork, then choose the file.
You’ll know it worked when A preview of the card appears, with a line saying what happened to the file — printed as-is, adjusted to fit, or trimmed. If it says trimmed, look at the preview before you save.
Name and save
Name it after the occasion and the year, then create the design.
Prove it physically
Send one card to yourself using the design. One credit, and it arrives the same way a customer’s would.
You’ll know it worked when The card that arrives has the artwork you expected, the right way up, correctly positioned.
#What Scribble does not do to your file
- It does not re-color it.
- It does not up-res it or sharpen it.
- It does not add a Scribble mark to the front.
This is deliberate: we print what you give us. A file at the wrong resolution is printed at the wrong resolution, which is the reason to order a proof.
#If your picture is not the shape of a card
A card is 1276 × 1654 pixels — slightly narrower than 3:4 and a good deal narrower than the tall pictures most AI image tools produce. Send that exact size and nothing at all happens to your file. Otherwise Scribble fits it, and shows you the result before you save.
- Nearly right (within 5% of card shape, which includes 3:4): the picture is adjusted to fit. Nothing is cut off and the change is too small to see.
- A long way off (a 2:3 picture from ChatGPT, a square, a photo): the middle of the picture is taken and the rest is trimmed. You see exactly what it takes before saving.
#Common questions
- Do I need bleed?
- Card and envelope stock arrive at final size, so there is no trim step. Supply artwork at final size.
- Can I put artwork on the back of the card?
- The back cover carries Scribble's branding block, which includes the card's tracking code as a retail-style product code. The front is yours.
- Can I have my own envelopes?
- Not through the self-serve product. Talk to sales if you are running volume where it matters.
- What about a logo inside the card?
- There is no way to do it, and there is not going to be. Nothing is printed on the inside — a pen writes every mark on it, and a pen cannot draw a raster logo. A logo belongs on the front artwork, which is the printed face. What you can carry inside is a standing line and a signature, written in the same hand as the message. See the inside of the card.
