Welcome to the team cards
A card that arrives at a new hire's house the week before they start does more for the first day than any onboarding deck. We write it by hand and post it for you.
- A real pen, not a font
- $6.99 one card, $2.45 at volume
- US postage included
- Your logo and signature inside
Welcome card designs
Your logo goes inside. The handwritten part is what they will read.
We're still drawing this one.
We do send this card. There is just no artwork of ours for it yet, so today it goes out on your own design. Talk to us about it.
~ show me everything ~Or put your own artwork on it
Most companies do. Upload a print-ready PNG, JPG, PDF or TIFF in the app, at 108 × 140mm, and it becomes a card you can send the same day. No approval step and no setup fee, and it costs the same as one of ours.
The gap between signing and starting
There is usually a month between somebody accepting an offer and turning up. In that month they are still talking to the company they are leaving, and quite possibly to the other company that made them an offer.
Almost nothing happens in that gap. An IT email about a laptop, maybe. A card posted to their home during it is a strange and disproportionately effective thing: it costs $6.99 and it is the only contact they get that is not administrative.
The same applies to a first-time customer. A welcome card a few days after their first order arrives when they are still deciding whether they made a good choice.
Trigger it off the start date
Your HR system knows the start date the moment the offer is accepted.
Connect the HRIS or add them manually
New hire, start date, home address. That is everything we need.
Set how far ahead it goes
Most companies aim for the week before. We work back from the start date and post accordingly.
Sign it as the team, not the company
The hiring manager's name on it beats "the People Team" by a distance. Signatures are set per team.
It lands at their home
Written in real ink, hand-addressed, stamped. They read it in their kitchen, not at a desk they do not have yet.
Works with HubSpot, Salesforce, Shopify, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Zapier, Make, n8n and webhooks. Anything else with an API, we will build it free of charge.
What to write in a welcome to the team card
One specific detail about why you hired them beats a paragraph of enthusiasm.
- Before a new hire's first day

- From the hiring manager

- First week, after they have started

- To a new customer after their first order

- Short

Copy any of these. Change the name and the one detail only you would know, and it sounds like you wrote it. That is the whole job: short, specific, no sales pitch. Every card above is a different handwriting in real ink, and on a real send your CRM fills in the names, so four thousand cards say four thousand different things.
The more you send, the less each one costs
One credit buys one card, written and posted, US stamp included. Credits get bought when you have something to send and they do not expire. There is no monthly fee and no minimum order.
Opening one takes about two minutes and costs nothing until you buy credits. Sending more than ten thousand, or need a contract and an invoice? Talk to sales.
Welcome to the team cards, answered
When should a welcome card arrive?
For a new hire, the week before they start, while the gap between signing and starting is otherwise silent. For a new customer, a few days after the first order lands.
Can we send it to a home address before someone's first day?
Yes, and it works better than sending it to the office. They have not got a desk yet.
Can this run automatically from our HR system?
Connect the HRIS and a start date triggers the card. We check daily and post far enough ahead to land in the window you set.
How much does it cost?
$6.99 for one card with postage included. If you are hiring at volume it drops: $5.59 at 100 cards a year, and further from there.
Can the hiring manager sign it rather than the company?
Yes. Signatures are set per team or per manager, and the company logo stays on the inside either way.
