Referral thank you cards
Somebody put their own reputation on the line to recommend you. An automated email is not a proportionate response to that.
- A real pen, not a font
- $6.99 one card, $2.45 at volume
- US postage included
- Your logo and signature inside
Referral thank you designs
Set your logo inside. The front stays understated.
We're still drawing this one.
We do send this card. There is just no artwork of ours for it yet, so today it goes out on your own design. Talk to us about it.
~ show me everything ~Or put your own artwork on it
Most companies do. Upload a print-ready PNG, JPG, PDF or TIFF in the app, at 108 × 140mm, and it becomes a card you can send the same day. No approval step and no setup fee, and it costs the same as one of ours.
A referral is the most expensive thing a client can give you
Not expensive for you. Expensive for them. When somebody recommends you to a friend or a colleague, they are staking their own credibility on you not being terrible.
Most companies mark this with a thank-you email, sometimes an automated one, and occasionally a discount code that makes the whole thing feel transactional. A written card costs $6.99 and lands as what it is, which is somebody saying thank you properly.
Referrers who get thanked well refer again. That is the entire business case and it does not need dressing up.
Catch every referral, not just the ones you notice
The problem with referrals is nobody logs them. The fix is making the log the trigger.
Record the source
If your CRM has a referred-by field, that is the trigger. New deal with a referrer attached fires a card to the referrer.
Thank them before you know it worked
Send it when the introduction happens, not when the deal closes. Thanking someone only if you win is not really thanking them.
Name who they sent
Merge the referred person's name into the card so it is obviously about that specific introduction.
We write and post it
Real ink, hand-addressed, stamped. It arrives on a desk within a few days of the introduction.
Works with HubSpot, Salesforce, Shopify, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Zapier, Make, n8n and webhooks. Anything else with an API, we will build it free of charge.
What to write in a referral thank you card
Name who they referred. That is the whole trick.
- Right after the introduction

- After the referral became a customer

- To someone who refers often

- When the referral did not work out

- To a partner firm

Copy any of these. Change the name and the one detail only you would know, and it sounds like you wrote it. That is the whole job: short, specific, no sales pitch. Every card above is a different handwriting in real ink, and on a real send your CRM fills in the names, so four thousand cards say four thousand different things.
The more you send, the less each one costs
One credit buys one card, written and posted, US stamp included. Credits get bought when you have something to send and they do not expire. There is no monthly fee and no minimum order.
Opening one takes about two minutes and costs nothing until you buy credits. Sending more than ten thousand, or need a contract and an invoice? Talk to sales.
Referral thank you cards, answered
Should we send a referral thank you before or after the deal closes?
Before. Send it when the introduction is made. Thanking someone only when their referral converts turns a favour into a commission structure, and people can feel that.
Can this fire automatically from our CRM?
Yes, if you record who referred whom. A new deal with a referrer attached can trigger a card to that referrer through HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, a webhook or our API.
Is a card better than a gift or a discount?
A discount turns a referral into a transaction, which usually stops people referring for the right reasons. A card costs $6.99 and does not do that. Plenty of companies send both.
How much does it cost?
$6.99 for a one-off card with US postage included, falling to $5.59 at 100 cards and lower from there.
