Send handwritten cards from HubSpot
Add a handwritten card to a contact workflow. HubSpot supplies the recipient and message; Scribble writes your card with a real pen, addresses the envelope and mails it in the United States.
Pilot setup guide. The native integration is being prepared for HubSpot Marketplace review. This page does not mean it is listed or available to every HubSpot account yet.
Connect your accounts
You need a Scribble business account, permission to manage its integrations, and permission to install apps in HubSpot. Your HubSpot subscription must support the contact workflows and app actions you plan to use.
- Sign in to Scribble and select the business account that will pay for the cards.
- Open HubSpot in Integrations and choose Connect HubSpot.
- Select the HubSpot account, review its permissions and complete the connection.
- Check that the expected HubSpot account appears in Scribble.
Connecting sends no cards. A real send uses one prepaid Scribble credit, including the card, envelope, handwriting and US postage. Credit pricing is shown in your Scribble account before you buy.

Choose an event that deserves a card: a new customer, a renewal or a referral. Set the workflow’s enrollment conditions and re-enrollment rules before you activate it. For a deal event, use the associated-deal conditions available in your HubSpot account to enroll the intended contact.
- Add the Scribble Send handwritten card action.
- Choose Validate only (no card, no charge) while you check the mapping.
- Map the recipient’s name, street, city, two-letter state and ZIP code. Select United States; an apartment or suite is optional.
- Choose a card design and handwriting from the pickers. Enter the finished message or map a personalized message property, up to 500 characters.
- Optionally set a preferred arrival date as YYYY-MM-DD. It is an estimate, not a delivery guarantee.
- Check the validation result. When the workflow is ready, change the action to Send a real handwritten card, review the enrolled contacts and activate it.
Validate only checks required inputs and US address formatting. It sends no card and reserves no credit. It doesn’t check your credit balance, blocked recipients, or whether your chosen design and handwriting are still available. It doesn’t render a handwriting proof or confirm that an address can receive mail. Review your card and wording in Scribble before turning on real sending.
A new workflow execution can create a new card. Limit re-enrollment to the events where you actually want another mailing. Automatic retries of the same action are tracked separately to prevent duplicate sends.
Check the result
The action returns the Scribble card reference and status when a card is created. Use the card link to check its production and dispatch progress. Preferred arrival dates are estimates; Scribble does not provide carrier-confirmed delivery tracking.
- Validation failed
- Correct the indicated field, then validate again. No card was ordered by validation.
- Card held
- Open the card in Scribble and check what needs attention before making another request.
- Insufficient credits
- Add credits to the connected Scribble business account and check the workflow’s outcome before re-enrolling anyone.
- Outcome needs checking
- The result could not be confirmed. Check Scribble or contact support; do not create a second action execution for that recipient until the original outcome is known.
Connection and recent action outcomes appear in Scribble’s HubSpot settings.
Data and disconnecting
HubSpot sends the contact and workflow references, the recipient fields you map, the message and your card choices to Scribble. Scribble uses that information to process the mailing and returns the action result to HubSpot. The optional recipient email is a reference field; this action does not send an email.
This version does not copy your whole contact database or write notes to the contact timeline. You can use the action’s output fields in later HubSpot workflow steps if you want to record the card reference there.
Disconnect in Scribble’s HubSpot settings to stop new card requests. Sends already in progress may still finish. Disconnecting does not cancel existing cards; review those separately in Scribble. The app stays installed in HubSpot until you uninstall it there.
